AP+M Announce Product Line Expansion into Repair & Overhaul Operations and Geographic Expansion into Europe, Middle East and Africa
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA– August 28, 2015
Aviation Power & Marine, Inc., (AP+M) broadens its worldwide industrial gas turbine (IGT) spare parts and support services with product line expansions into component maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO) and wiring harness manufacturing capabilities. The addition of these capabilities is complimented by the company’s geographic expansion into Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Product Line Expansion
As of September 15th, 2015 AP+M will integrate the IGT component MRO capabilities at its headquarters in Boynton Beach, FL. The initial component MRO capabilities will include; hydraulic actuators (i.e. VBV, VSV VIGV actuators) and hydromechanical / pneumatic valves including Bleed Valves, CDP, Thrust Balance and Check Valves.
In addition to the company expansion into accessory component MRO, AP+M is also adding IGT cable and harness manufacturing capability to provide a cost competitive solution to operator wiring harness reliability issues and spare parts provisioning.
“We also enhanced our ability to meet customer expectations with these capabilities by attracting the experienced engineering and technical operations personnel to integrate and oversee the ongoing MRO and manufacturing business. This technical team has designed and manufactured numerous types of cables and harnesses for customers including the major IGT engine operators and MRO facilities, in addition to military and aerospace engine applications. They’ll be great additions to our team,” said Laura Tabone, AP+M’s VP Operations.
Geographic Expansion
AP+M has enhanced its worldwide sales and support team to facilitate their product portfolio expansion and further expand the company’s geographic sales and support operations. The company’s latest additions are the sales and support operation in the United Kingdom (UK) and strengthening of its business development and customer support team in California. The UK team will provide dedicated regional support to IGT operators in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). AP+M’s EMEA office expansion compliments their Asia Pacific geographic expansion of 2014 and the company’s long-standing business operations in the Americas.
